Small red beaded arrow decoration 100% handmade by the Navajo tribe in the state of New Mexico.
Kachinas are spirits in the mythology of the Hopi, Zuni and more recently Navajo Indians of New Mexico and Arizona in the southwestern United States. Spirits of fire, rain, snake, or even joking, mischievous, good or evil spirits, a kind of inventory of the visible and invisible world. The painting of the kachinas is important because the colours are associated with the six cardinal points: the north is represented by yellow, the west by blue-green, the south by red, the east by white, the zenith by all the preceding colours and the nadir by black.
